Chanel Pins: Embellish Now

I was getting dressed for a really fun event at Neiman Marcus last week…. and upon looking in the mirror, I noticed that I looked like I was going to a funeral. Somber and just not fun. So I reached into my CHANEL pin collection that I started a few years back, and grabbed the bling-i-est I could find. Upon re-checking…. Success! The outfit now had that Ooomph factor that it needed. Ooomph enough to get me several compliments on my outfit and pins. One pin alone garnered 6 compliments and actually helped me meet some amazing new friends. Now I am not saying dash out to CHANEL and buy pins…. but what I am saying is any outfit can be changed up with some simple accessories. Pins are an incredibly easy way to brighten up any outfit and really think outside the box with placement.

Big Kisses!!

  1. Hi Shelley,

The crest shaped pin was a runway piece that my husband picked up in Hong Kong. That’s actually the one that was the show stopper at the event. My husband has actually bought me most of my collection… he has an amazing eye. I can ask around to see if there are anymore available.

As always, thank you for visiting Shelley…. I AM SO BEYOND honored you took the time to stop by!!

    Happy Monday!!

    All my Love,

    Laura

  2. I am a horse racing fan and have all kinds of cool really rare Jockey pins and every time I wear them, I get a ton of compliments. Also, I find that I meet new people that are also fans when they look at my pins!

  3. It’s funny, every time I think of pins, I think of TGIFridays restaurant and their “Flair”. Pins are a great way to show your style and things you like.

  4. I remember my Grandma had a pin collection and when I was young I used to steal and wear all her pins. She secretly knew I wore them and gifted them to me in her will. Love pins.

  5. People used to refer to pins as something their grandma wore to church but they are back in demand! I have a friend in the jewlery industry & he says they go like hot cakes!

  6. H.O.T.!! When I think of these types of pins, I used to think of my mom and her generation. But not anymore! You look smokin’! This totally adds to your beautiful dress! Thanks for changing my mind!

  7. My favorite Auntie had a really beautiful collection of pins. This was a staple gift we would give to her on holidays and her birthday. She wore them all the time. When she passed on, she left them to my sister and me. I still have them and wear them proudly. I think of her and know that she is with me ever time I put one on!
