In the health and beauty world these days…. the big “buzz” word…. COCONUT. Good for everything that ails you and then some. This article was originally supposed to be about the health benefits of drinking coconut water (hence the photos). But then my daughter’s friend walked into my home…. and hold the presses! Jaina I think you know who I am talking about.
This fabulous little actress…. who normally has amazing skin…. walked into my home a couple of weeks ago with skin that was mind glowingly fabulous. When I say the word “GLOWING” that’s an understatement. I squealed with delight…. and begged for her secrets. No secrets here…. on a daily basis, Jaina is using dabs of coconut oil on her face and neck…. all while watching her skin go from fabulous…. to ridiculously fabulous! I went and grabbed a jar so fast my head was spinning. I won’t bore you with details… Except that facts:
There you go My Most Beautiful Peeps…. Trust me on this one…. we all want skin like Jaina!!
P.S. The ingredients in coconut water are more effective at hydrating the human body…. than those of any sport or energy drink. During rigorous exercise or extended periods of physical activity…. the human body loses mineral-rich fluids. However, coconut water serves as an excellent replacement with 294 mg of potassium and 5 mg of natural sugar per glass…. unlike a sports drink that only contains half of the potassium content and five times the amount of processed sugar. In addition, the sodium count is only 25 mg, which is relatively low compared to the 41 and 20 mg found in sports drinks and energy drinks respectively!!
