YAY!! I can finally write about this black jumpsuit by Rag & Bone!! I shot these photos two months ago for Genlux magazine…. and I wanted to wait for my page to come out (last Friday) before posting them… so here we go! A year and a half ago I was at an event where I was photographed in a very expensive black jumpsuit… the photos were so unflattering that I vowed to never allow a jumpsuit to grace my body again… until I saw this one. The fit of this Rag & Bone is so superb, so flattering and so sexy I just had to give the jumpsuit another chance! I am so glad I did…. the two times I have worn this jumpsuit out, I was stopped maybe 10 times by women wanting to know who the designer was.
We paired the jumpsuit… with a my all time favorite Cosabella bodysuit… that has perfectly placed side mesh panels… and a deep vee. A Prada statement necklace, an 18.00 cotton shrug that was bought off amazon (mark my words… the shrug will be a huge hit for fall 2014!) and a pair of black suede Prada pumps complete our little ensemble…. simple, elegant and chic.
With the Summer Solstice yesterday… and today being the first official full day of summer… we thought we would celebrate with the jean skirt. Denim… it’s what’s for this summer season. The denim skirt is a no brainer for ease and the casualness of being able to pair it with just about anything. We paired ours with an old J. Crew button down and a really fun pair of Flamingo kicks. The beauty of the denim skirt is the fact that anyone… of any age can pull it off. The younger the shorter… the older the longer. The jean skirt for summer 2014 is a must!
As you may… or may not… know, for the past two years… I have the distinct honor of doing a monthly column for Genlux magazine. Genlux has allowed me to share my “I Can’t live without” fashion, health and beauty list with their readers. Genlux Magazine is Los Angeles answer to the fashion bible… it’s about a new generation of women that are passionate about luxury fashion, beauty, giving back and caring for the world. Their goal is to bring information about fashion, charity events, beauty and the people that create it. The photography rivals Vogue.. and it could be just about the most beautiful magazine in the world. The photo below… is on the back cover of the latest issue of Genlux…. that just hit the newsstands yesterday! It is beyond beautiful… and I would like to thank founders and Stephen Kamifuji and Cecillia Moreno for their support of Fabulous365 and myself… Laura Dunn. I am filled with gratitude for Genlux allowing me a voice… and bringing color and vision to Los Angeles and the world.
Hello My Most Beautiful Peeps…. I would like to state for the record…. that black is back. Back for summer… and back for anytime. As you can tell as of late… there has been a lot of summer black on this blog…. and crochet is fashion’s way of bringing the light and airy into summer black dressing.
Our fabulously simple black crochet dress with a plunging vee, midi length and spaghetti straps brings a sense of lightness and a very slimming look to this dress (any body type would benefit from this style and look great). Crochet in all forms is a great choice… in any color… for summer 2014. Rock on with crochet… and rock on with black!
Nothing is sexier than a skin tight white dress for summer. This 70’s inspired (I swear I had a dress exactly like this one when I was young) white dress makes summer dressing a breeze… with enough style to be able to go accessory-less. But we decided to pair our stretch white dress with a vintage wooden, over sized chain necklace, to add even more pizazz.
The subtle plunge in the neckline… screams sexy without going overboard. This is the perfect summer dress for an afternoon tea party… a day at the polo matches… a wedding… a romantic summer dinner… an evening party… almost any affair where you need to look your summer best!
We all need at least one lace dress in our closet this summer 2014. This little black lace frock could be the perfect choice… as it can go from daytime to evening in a flash. By just accessorizing and adding in a fabulous heel we can go straight from sun to dark. The fitted bodice and flared skirt gives our LBLD… a sexy flirty feel while the lace gives us that ladylike… think Jackie Kennedy… look.
We are showing daytime… simple… no accessories… except our “Simply Eartha” bangles by Kitt Shapiro. Kitt (Eartha’s daughter) has taken all of Eartha’s most favorite quotes and tattooed them on her wrist… now we too can wear Eartha’s quotes on our wrists with no needles involved!

Never in my life have I seen such a diverse collection of sunglasses. ZeroUV stays true to what’s on point right this minute… but takes it a step… even further. Then…. add in the fact that not one pair of glasses is over 9.99 and we now have a collection of sunglasses that is so wearable… so must have… and so… I must own every pair! And for 9.99… I just about do!
These amazing sweatshirts are everywhere… every time I open a magazine… I see one! 194t is bringing luxury to the world of sweatshirts! Designer Linda Monaskanian has set out to change the idea of what should be considered casual wear…. and that she has done. From the cut of the designs…. to the lux rich fabrics, 194t is taking the sweatshirt where no man has gone before… uptown. My daughter Beau Dunn is their biggest fan, so I guess that makes me #2.
I paired my 194t dual tone sweatshirt with a leather mini skirt…. for a smashing look that goes from daytime to evening in a snap.
We have blended together two of our favorite looks to make up this really fun BoHo Chic outfit…. fringe and the little white dress. Anything fringe is in this summer…. like our fabulous Christian Louboutin Fringe boots and the vintage JJWinters fringe purse… that was borrowed from Beau’s closet. Paired with our sassy little peek-a-boo shoulder, little white dress by Olivaceous… adding in a Hermes leather cuff… a vintage Chanel logo necklace and this look is a complete BoHo Chic success!
The 70s are back! And this fabulous little black jumpsuit proves my point! The plunging neckline, spaghetti straps and bellowy leg scream Studio 54 back when Warhol ruled! Then pair it with the fierce Cynthia Vincent rock stud sandal (a 2014 touch)… a gold Gucci-esque belt and a fabulous Oscar de la Renta statement necklace…. making this sexy outfit worthy of Edie Sedgwick! The 70s… back with a bang!
