The Little Black Dress is a closet staple that we… as ladies… must own. It is essential to complete any wardrobe. And if I have my way with you…. you will own 4…. one for each season. Here is one of our one of our favorite versions of the “summer” LBD. This Jill Stuart is the perfect summer fling of a little black dress due to the light weight of this beautiful airy fabric. The fitted bodice gives it a little bit of a sex factor while the hoopish skirt gives it that “lady like” feel. Paired with our Givenchy cage sandals for a elongated leg that shows off our LBD to perfection!

The Little Black Dress originates back to the 1920s… when CoCo Chanel created a long lasting and very versatile neutral colored dress to be… as we like to say…. “Dressed up or Dressed down.”

Our very own Beau Dunn… has done some shopping for us! Miss Dunn came up with a couple of seriously fabulous looks… for so seriously little money. First up was Sunday’s “Mustard Seed” pink cropped top and skirt….. and today’s FABULOUS Wanderlust Cape… both from Gypsum Style. The design of this cape…. could be just about one of the most fabulous we have seen in a long time!

The long bodice gives us a long, lean, thin silhouette… while the structured shoulder pads give us the perfect broad shoulder. The slit sleeves are a perfect for cool nights. This super chic cape totals in at 52.00… giving us so much look for so little cash. A perfect throw over for a stylish summer evening!

Great to pair our inexpensive pieces… with our fabulously luxurious pieces! Our Gucci summer gloves (a gift from NJ Goldston @ www.theblondeandthebrunette.com… one of our go to fashion blogs) look like a million dollars when up against the Wanderlust cape. Add in a pair of Mui Mui studded pumps and a pair of stretch bell bottoms for a sophisticated, chic evening look!

Here’s the pink of it…. Pink… the official color for Summer 2014! It will keep us looking fresh and happy all day long! Add in a knit crop top and matching skirt to raise the “trend” factor to “It” factor! We simply adore this Mustard Seed outfit paired with our vintage (but oh so.. just this minute) white Gucci pumps… add in a 3 year old Fendi belt from shopping Laura’s Closet… and we think this is a mighty fabulous outfit. Okay…. could my Kigurumi by Sazac onesie be….. any cuter? I think not My Beautiful Peeps!! I found my first one at a little shop on Melrose Avenue, in Los Angeles… they had a slew of different characters… I bought them all! Let’s figure out what exactly a Kigurumi is….

Kigurumi comes from a combination of two Japanese words: kiru (“to wear”) and nuigurumi (“stuffed toy”). Traditionally, it referred specifically to the performers wearing the costume, but the word has since grown to include the costumes themselves. In Japan, kigurumi costumes are worn as a way to break the conventions of traditional dress… or just as comfy pajamas!

In Beverly Hills? I usually pull one out at the end of a party or dinner at my home. And yes… I have many to share with my guests… and yes… they always beg to wear one! What a great way to start or end the evening!
